Our journey and new home

We've started the year with a fantastic new home at South School Hall, 44 Queen Street, Parkside, Timaru. We're incredibly grateful to have secured such a great space for our students and their families to train and grow together. This move marks an exciting new chapter for JKS South Canterbury, providing an even better environment for everyone.

In Timaru we're building a strong community, one kick and punch at a time.

Meet our Head of Dojo

We're very pleased to welcome Rizky Holdaway Smith as the new Head of Dojo at JKS South Canterbury. His leadership, extensive knowledge, and profound passion for karate are already making a significant positive impact. We're excited for the future and the continued growth of our club under his expert guidance.

A thriving community

The term is well underway, and it has been fantastic to see our returning students back on the floor with such great energy and commitment. Their effort and positive attitude have set a strong tone for the year. We're also delighted to welcome a number of new students; the fresh enthusiasm they bring has added even more positive energy to our dojo community — we love seeing it! Many of our students are already preparing for upcoming gradings as they work toward their next belts, along with various tournaments and events.
